 David Tennant surprised fans by appearing in a small role in the Star Wars series Ahsoka. The Doctor Who actor, 52, voices Huyang the droid professor who taught young Jedis how to build lightsabers in The Mandalorian spin-off, which follows Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) investigate an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. Disney Plus viewers collectively gasped when it dawned on them the Good Omens star was playing the character, with one exclaiming: 'DAVID TENNANT IS IN STAR WARS?! It had been previously teased David would feature in Ahsoka after his voice was heard in one of the trailers for the sci-fi drama. David had also voiced Huyang before – more than a decade ago in 2012 – in the animated programme Star Wars: The Clone Wars in three episodes. David is reprising his version of the Time Lord for three special episodes of the iconic BBC show in November to mark its 60th anniversary. The actor originally played the Doctor from 2005-2010, before returning for a special five years later.
