David De Gea has confirmed that he has left Manchester United after 12 years at the club. The Spaniard posted a goodbye message on social media after his contract expired at the end of last month.
United had been in talks with the 32-year-old goalkeeper over a new deal but with no agreement in place he became a free agent and Erik ten Hag’s side started negotiating with Inter Milan over Andre Onana.
De Gea won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Europa League during his time at Old Trafford, making 545 appearances for the club in all competitions.
