Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has confirmed the date of the Autumn Statement when he will update MPs on the country’s finances and set out changes to taxes and spending
Jeremy Hunt has revealed that this year’s Autumn Statement will be held on November 22.
The Chancellor will update MPs on the country’s finances and set out changes to taxes and spending.
Mr Hunt is under pressure from Tory backbenchers to reduce taxes after the Government hiked them to their highest level in more than 70 years.
Asked at the weekend about the prospect of cutting taxes when he delivers his Autumn Statement, Mr Hunt said there is “nothing” he wants more than to bring the “tax burden” down, saying one way to do so is to grow the economy.
