Police have charged Daniel Khalife with escaping custody from HMP Wandsworth in south London.
The terror suspect escaped from the category B jail on Wednesday, before being arrested by police along a canal towpath yesterday.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, the Metropolitan Police said.
An extensive four-day manhunt, which caused extensive queues on roads, at ports and in airports across the country, came to an end when Khalife was apprehended in Chiswick yesterday.
