Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy has suggested the franchise could move for free agent superstar receiver Odell Beckham Jr as the NFC East team look to make the playoffs
Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy has suggested he is a âbig fan’ of Odell Beckham Jr. as the star receiver decides his next NFL team.
The 30-year-old is the top free agent available and the Cowboys are set to be one of the teams in the mix for his signature. Beckham was well on his way to being MVP of the Super Bowl when he tore his ACL during the Los Angeles Rams win over the Cincinnati Bengals back in February.
The original hope was for Beckham to find a team in mid-November, but reports are now suggesting he will return to full health and sign with a franchise by December. Several teams have expressed interest in the 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year, including the Buffalo Bills, the Rams and his former team, the New York Giants.
Other suitors include the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs – and the Cowboys are now in the mix, too. Dallas have plenty of offensive weapons at their disposal such as receiver duo Michael Gallup and Ceedee Lamb, but they are also looking to add someone of the superstar-calibre of Beckham.
