Heartbroken mum Megan Newman said: "We are surrounded by family and have been attended by angels, including our own Jared. He is near. In my grief and my heartache I also have three beautiful miracles to kiss today. "He made sure he protected over them and brought them safely to me…and that is all I could ever ever want in life. Please pray for my beautiful boys, prayer is keeping us going today." Megan explained their son Connor underwent surgery for a broken femur and had to have a rod inserted. "He could not wait to finally drink cold water this morning and it's a pleasure he won't soon forget,' Newman wrote. She explained young Connor has the most memory of the incident and was sitting next to his father when the plane went down. Reports that indicated Jared was flying the aircraft under a training licence, which is prohibited by federal regulations, are false. Son Elijah suffered a broken jaw that required surgery and remained intubated "to give his body a break." Among Elijah's injuries were pulmonary contusions and a lacerated liver, his mum said.
