A dad spoke haunting words of warning just moments before his eight-year-old daughter was allegedly shot in the head by a neighbour who was annoyed by the noise of her riding her scooter.
Michael Goodman, 43, has been charged with first-degree murder after cops were called to a block of apartments on Saturday night where Serabi Medina was tragically shot outside her home at around 9.40pm.
She was taken to Stroger Hospital in a critical condition but was pronounced dead after she was allegedly shot in the head by a neighbour, according to an eyewitness.
Rene Aquino, a friend of the dad Michael Medina, said she heard a gunshot on Saturday night after visiting the pair with a group of friends. Michael is reported to have said to her daughter: “Grab your scooter, come on, you’re going to go upstairs, go upstairs.”
