However, he returned to the home not long after, as he thought he had to get his ex and daughter away from the property. He picked his daughter up by her neck and opened an upstairs window to throw her out but she fell to the floor as he was tackled by his ex, Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard. Owens has been locked up for 26 months, StokeonTrentLive reports, after subjecting his daughter to the violence which left her fearing for her life. Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard of Owens' drug-induced attack on his former partner and daughter ( BPM MEDIA) Mr Tom Sherrington, prosecuting, said that Owens had driven his vehicle and abandoned it in Rushton Spencer, on February 4 this year. He ran to his ex partner's home at 2.30pm and was heavily under the influence of phencyclidine; a dissociative anaesthetic also known as monkey dust, and cannabis. He let himself into his ex's home as it was unlocked. His ex's partner escorted him out the house and asked him to leave. But Owens punched him to the head several times causing the man to fall to the floor. And while down, he hit him with the metal bar to the head. The man was left with a bloodied nose, bruising to his left arm, and wounds to his face. Owens went back to the house and went upstairs to where his ex was with her two children.
