‘Cruel strangers called my skin disgusting before I found miracle cream for psoriasis’

Living with psoriasis was a daily struggle for mum-of-one Kirsty Jennings, until she found a miracle cream that stopped cruel strangers from calling her skin ‘disgusting’

Kirsty Jennings was 17 years old when she first noticed her skin was appearing dry and patchy and assuming it was eczema, kept applying moisturiser.

But when the plaques continued to spread to her knees and scalp, she took herself to see a GP, who diagnosed her with psoriasis – a skin condition that affects one in 50 in the UK.

“When I was told I had psoriasis it hit me pretty hard, especially when I realised it was something that would never be cured,” Kirsty, from Malvern, Worcestershire, told the Mirror during Psoriasis Awareness Month.

“They say psoriasis is usually triggered by something, either a physical trauma or emotional stress. Mine was triggered just as I was moving out of my parents’ house. I guess I was quite scared at the prospect of fending for myself as I was still quite young.”
