Premier League hero Peter Crouch left fellow pundits Rio Ferdinand and Jermaine Jenas in stitches thanks to a Strictly Come Dancing blunder on Tuesday night. The trio found time for a laugh and a joke before Tottenham’s crunch Champions League clash with Marseille. Crouch and Jenas both have history with Tottenham. The former spent two years at White Hart Lane between 2009 and 2011 while the latter made more than 200 appearances for the Lilywhites during his own distinguished career. They were joined by Manchester United hero Ferdinand on Tuesday evening to provide the analysis ahead of Spurs’ Champions League showdown in Marseille. Before kick-off, Group D was split by two points from top to bottom with all four teams in with a shout of progressing. But it wasn’t all serious from the punditry trio. BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey presented Crouch with a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ moment by asking him to rate Tottenham manager Antonio Conte’s first year in charge out of 10. “A-minus,” responded the former England international. Upon learning that the show’s marking system works on numbers rather than letters, Crouch recalled: “I have watched Stricly Come Dancing actually – my Mrs won it.” That sparked an instant burst of laughter from Ferdinand and Jenas, who were sat alongside him in the studio.
