Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr had endured a tricky start to the new season after signing Sadio Mane but the pair combined perfectly during a straightforward victory over Al-Fateh
Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane put on a stunning show for Al-Nassr supporters by scoring five goals between them against Al-Fateh.
The pair were both named in the starting lineup for the Saudi side on Friday evening for their trip to Al-Hasa. The clash represented an important clash for Al-Nassr following what had been an horrendous start to the new season.
The side had lost each of their opening two league games of the campaign despite having lifted the Arab Club Champions Cup. They kicked off the season with a 2-1 defeat to Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq, whilst they followed that up with a 2-0 home reverse at the hands of Al-Taawoun.
Worries of a third consecutive defeat soon evaporated as Ronaldo teed up new teammate Mane for the opener. A brilliant passing exchange saw the ball reach the Portuguese on the edge of the penalty area.
