The rest of the family stayed at the campsite as the search was underway, while police were posted near the family home. The troopers retrieved the ransom note and found a fingerprint, which they used to trace Ross' location. Then they were able to look up any properties, finding a home belonging to the suspect's mother in Ballston Spa, nearby. They raided the home and found the camper in the back, with the child alive and well. Craig Nelson Ross lived in the camper that was discovered behind his mother's home. We don't yet know whether Ross was stalking Sena or if the kidnapping was planned in advance. He wasn't wearing gloves when writing a note and dropped it off to the home, despite officers being outside. 'Often these stories don't end up like this," Hochul said choking up as she spoke.
