Enoch Orious and Anna Karg managed to keep the costs of their travels around New Zealand down, but people are outraged at what they were doing to save money
A couple have been slammed for the way they are saving cash while travelling around New Zealand.
Enoch Orious and Anna Karg have been documenting their journey on social media, but a few things they have done along the way have really upset other people. In a bid to keep costs down the couple, who are both 25, have been eating at soup kitchens run by charities to help homeless people.
Many of their followers are outraged and have left messages voicing their anger, reports News.co.au. One wrote: “This is disgusting, disrespectful and straight using the system to look and feel good.” Another said: “Disgusting behaviour! As a traveler myself (and a normal human being) I am nothing short of shocked and angered.”
One commenter added: “They’re making a choice to be frugal and potentially taking food out of the hands of those genuinely in poverty. They should be embarrassed.” The couple then took their Facebook pages down and have posted a message defending themselves.
