Corrie’s Rob Mallard talks ex-soap star he ‘still sees’ after romance

Speaking to Express.co.uk last month, Rob Mallard, 30, who has played Daniel Osbourne on the ITV soap Coronation Street since 2016, shared that he and his former on-screen wife Katie McGlynn, who played Sinead Tinker from 2013 to 2020, still have a strong relationship, even after she left the soap. Katie’s character Sinead left the fictional Street in one of the most harrowing episodes in its 62-year history.Following the emotional and heartbreaking cancer storyline, which both Katie and Rob were at the centre of, the two actors became good friends, continuing their friendship off-screen.When quizzed on how close they still are, two years since Katie’s departure, Rob shared: ‘It’s great.
