A Coronation Street actress has revealed a surprising new career move after quitting the cobbles in 2015 before she appeared on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing
A Coronation Street star is now working as a nail technician after deciding to step away from the spotlight.
Georgia May Foote, 32, who played Katy Armstrong in the soap, decided to quit the cobbles in 2015 before she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing. The actress has now launched GMF Nails after qualifying as a nail technician in 2021 and has even opened her own salon in Manchester. The salon’s Instagram page reveals the soap star offers services including 1-1 lessons, builder gel, gel polish and a variety of nail art.
Georgia, who married her boyfriend Kris Evans last month, recently revealed she will be offering classes for qualified nail technicians, priced at between £150-£400, for two or six hours respectively. Her announcement read: “I will now be offering 1-1 lessons with myself! These lessons are for qualified nail techs who are looking to enhance and perfect their skills. Each tutorial will be fully tailored to each individual and what they wish to focus on. We can concentrate on prep and BIAB applications or nail art. Or both! The choice is yours! Each lesson comes with a goody bag worth over £50 for you to leave with Dm to book in! Any questions please ask.”
The actress married her musician fiancé Kris Evans in July nearly two years after he popped the question. The soap star shone in a beaded fishtail gown as the couple tied the knot in a lavish log cabin venue surrounded by close friends and family.
