Coronation Street’s Gemma Winter was left fearing her children would be taken away from her after a worrying phone call, after youngster Bertie took her medication
Coronation Street aired worrying scenes for Gemma Winter on Friday night, following a horror overdose ordeal.
Gemma was left in a state after little Bertie Osbourne, who she was looking after, swallowed some of her antidepressants tablets. Gemma had been prescribed them after recent heartache in the family.
After agreeing to look after Bertie while also keeping an eye on her own children, Gemma began to struggle as she couldn’t keep her eyes open. Her mother Bernie arrived home and offered to help out, but as Gemma popped to the café Bertie’s aunt Beth had a go at her for leaving the kids.
Gemma did return home but ended up falling asleep. As Daniel arrived to collect his son Bertie, Gemma was horrified to see him holding her tablet packet. Daniel rushed his son to hospital after he told him he had taken some of the tablets, with Gemma realising five were missing.
