Hayley Cartwright, a former Coronation Street star, now carries out real life funerals as a celebrant, for those without any loved ones.
The actress played a character called Hazel back in 2017, who officiated weddings and funerals.
Taking inspiration from her character, Hayley now works as a real-life celebrant and has been speaking to Manchester Evening News about her career change:
‘It’s important to send someone on their next journey with love’, she said.
‘As an actor, we have to be really in touch with our emotions and feelings. It’s part of our work and what we do. After starting as a recurring character in Corrie and playing Hazel, I thought I’d love to visit this avenue in real life’.
