 Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) wasn't happy with Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) in Coronation Street tonight (July 12), who has been spending a lot of time with her tai-chi instructor, Gerry. We know that Stephen is only with Elaine because he wants her money. This has left him with no choice but to make it seem as though Elaine is the woman for him, but his mask began to slip in Monday's (July 10) episode of the ITV soap. While Elaine was chatting away about tai-chi and how pleased she is that Gerry is now a member of the community, it was very obvious Stephen was bored and getting wound up. When Elaine's back was turned, Stephen pulled a face, but he failed to realise that his partner had noticed him in the reflection of the oven. Elaine was thrilled in tonight's episode as the likes of Tim (Joe Duttine), Steve (Simon Gregson) and Sally (Sally Dynevor) joined her for a tai-chi class. That evening, Elaine and Gerry headed out together. It's obvious they get on well, but neither spotted Stephen hiding behind a wall, overhearing their interaction. As Elaine and Gerry got closer, Stephen had no choice but to hide behind a bin and when the coast was clear, he returned, staring at Gerry and Elaine as they prepared to spend even more time together.
