 Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) has just made her current situation with Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) a whole lot worse in Coronation Street after getting Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) involved. In Wednesday's (July 28) edition of the ITV soap, Sarah's anxiety started to increase when Adam told her that he's asked for official confirmation to be sent from the DNA clinic on whether he's the father of her baby. Prior to these scenes, Sarah had been in Victoria Garden with Stephen, who had got her paternity test letter out of the bin after spotting her get rid of it. It was all systems go in Friday's (July 28) episode as Sarah planned to get the DNA letter before Adam so she could destroy it. However, when Gail (Helen Worth) revealed that she was at A&E with Harry after a fall, she had to rush off and accepted Stephen's help when he said that he could get the letter instead. Stephen managed to get hold the document and shredded it. He then spent time in the office at the factory creating a new one, forging the results and making it seem as though Adam is the dad. He was then utterly relieved, revealing to Sarah that the results – of course – say that he's the baby's dad. This left Sarah somewhat puzzled, and when a smug Stephen told her the truth and admitted that he's very pleased with his forgery skills, she was furious.
