 Toyah Battersby's (Georgia Taylor) life is in serious danger in upcoming Coronation Street episodes as she finds herself involved in Spider Nugent's (Martin Hancock) life as an undercover police officer. Spider's job was revealed during the storyline that saw Max (Paddy Bever) groomed by Griff (Michael Condron) and an extremism gang. While he was successful in helping the police destroy the group, Spider also told Toyah about his secret life, which comes with many risks – as they are about to discover. With Spider out of the flat, Toyah is met with a woman who claims to be his wife. While she chats, Leanne (Jane Danson) bumps into Spider and is shocked when he reveals that his wife isn't actually in the country. Spider phones Toyah and warns her the woman is an imposter.
