However, despite positioning himself as an ideal investor, Darren shut down the opportunity due to Dev being unable to access his capital immediately. But in a twist, Darren then asked Aadi, who is set to have an affair with Darren's wife in upcoming scenes, to be his "right hand man" and to help him out with his ongoing business and investments. Later in the episode, Dev told Aadi his plans to become an investor, revealing he's going to remortgage everything in order to get the cash as it would be "worth it in the long run". However, soap watchers were left distracted during the scenes as they instantly recognised Darren star Ryan Early from Heartbeat. Ryan, 44, played PC Tom Nicholson from 2001 until 2002. The actor's other credits include The Bill, Emmerdale, Casualty and The Archers, where he played Lee Bryce from 2021 to 2023.
