Tisha Merry is known for previously playing the role of Steph Britton on Coronation Street from 2013 to 2017 before making a brief return in 2018 but has landed a new role

Coronation Street star Tisha Merry has landed herself a new exciting role in a popular soap five years after leaving the cobbles.

The actress is set to play a character called Serena Bradley on the popular BBC One soap Doctors. She’s set for quite the storyline as she arrives and it soon comes out that she had a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship with Bear.

The 30-year-old is best known for playing Steph Britton on Coronation Street from 2013 until 2017, returning for a brief stint in 2018. Her character left Corrie to live in Portugal after the murder of her on-screen brother Luke at the hands of killer Pat Phelan. She has said in the past that her decision to leave the show was the “best thing” that happened to her as she launched her YouTube channel in 2020.

However, she Tisha hasn’t ruled back making a return. The Sun reported that she said: “I didn’t leave to never go back. Like I said, I left for a little break. Corrie was, hands down, the best years of my life.
