Conor McGregor has claimed he is interested in an unlikely bid to buy Liverpool after FSG put the club up for sale – despite the fact he supports Man Utd
Conor McGregor has declared he is interested in buying Liverpool with owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) looking to sell the club.
The American owners of the Premier League giants issued a statement confirming they are looking for investors after news broke that they have put together a full presentation in a bid to sell to interested parties. The club’s top brass have retained Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to assist with the process of selling the club.
And UFC megastar McGregor has wasted no time in throwing his hat in the ring, declaring he would love to buy the Anfield club – despite being a fan of arch rivals Manchester United.
In response to a tweet asking him to buy the Anfield club, McGregor replied: “I WOULD LOVE IT! I requested my information on this, yes. Soon as I heard. What a turn of events! What a club!”
