CSU started fast and hit hard to let the Buffaloes know they were in for a fight. And the physical matchup even saw Hunter depart play injured, with the Buffaloes trailing the Rams 21-14. CSU safety Henry Blackburn left Hunter on the floor and was given an unnecessary roughness penalty. Hunter played on and even made a tackle but left the field of play in the second quarter and was taken to a local hospital. Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders immediately leaped to his teammate's defence and got in Blackburn's face. 'When they did that Travis stuff, it really clicked for me: 'Oh, they're really out here tripping,'' Shedeur Sanders said. 'Like, overly tripping.' The Buffaloes managed to secure the win to move to 3-0 with the game finishing 43-35 win in double overtime. Hunter will miss 'a few weeks" coach Sanders confirmed, which will be a massive blow to the Buffaloes, who take on ranked Oregon and Southern California in the next two weeks.
