 The late Coco Lee's husband Bruce Rockowitz has spoken out with a touching tribute after the singer-songwriter died by suicide on Wednesday. Lee died aged 48 just days after she attempted to take her own life last weekend. Bruce is understood to have been away from the city when Lee died, but has since flown back, according to The Daily Mail. Now, he has shared a sweet tribute to his late wife in an obituary signed by him and his two daughters from a previous marriage. The Canadian wrote: 'Coco was a beautiful person inside and out, warm and kind. 'She was an accomplished singer-songwriter, a talented performer, a caring mentor to the younger generation, a beloved wife, a well-loved friend and a dear family member.' 'Although, CoCo sought professional help and did her best to fight depression, sadly that demon inside of her took the better of her.' After attempting suicide on Sunday, the singer was put into a coma, and 'despite best efforts' to save, her she died three days later. The pair also said she had 'worked tirelessly to open up a new world for Chinese singers in the international music scene, and she went all out to shine for the Chinese'. 'We hope that everyone will not only miss Coco, but also share her bright smile, treat everyone with sincerity, kindness and love, and continue her wish to let everyone around feel her love and happiness,' their statement concluded.
