Clue that saw police connect child snatcher Robert Black to killings and where he is now

Channel 5’s documentary, The Child Snatcher: Manhunt, reveals how police caught evil serial killer Robert Black red-handed before he had the chance to strike again

Evil serial-child killer Robert Black infamously gagged, abused and murdered young victims across the country during the 1980s after horrifically abducting them in the back of his delivery van.

The paedophile was found guilty of three child murders in 1994, including Susan Maxwell, 11, of Northumberland, five-year-old Caroline Hogg, from Edinburgh, and Sarah Harper, 10, of Leeds.

In 2012, Black was prosecuted for a fourth murder – Jennifer Cardy, nine, who was snatched in 1981 as she cycled to a friend’s house in Northern Ireland. He was also suspected of many more disappearances and killings.

A new documentary, The Child Snatcher: Manhunt, airs on Channel 5 tonight, telling the story of one of the UK’s largest murder investigations, as detectives from multiple forces joined the dots between the crimes.
