An adorable dog saved the day after a firefighter accidentally locked himself out of Georgetown Texas Fire Department – the pooch managed to push the door open for him
A clever dog helped a firefighter back into the station after he accidentally got himself trapped outside. The fire safety-trained dog, named Koda, came to her handler’s aid after he stepped outside the building for a quick moment. It wasn’t until he tried to re-enter that he realised he’d locked himself out – but thankfully Koda was on hand to push the door open for him.
The firefighter, from Georgetown Texas Fire Department, said: “I was working late at our administration offices when I stepped outside. Our key card access system temporarily went down which locked me outside and Koda inside. When she noticed me tapping on the door she quickly came over and opened it for me.”
Koda helps the fire department with training fire safety and if that wasn’t amazing enough she is also a registered therapy dog.
It comes after a missing dog handed herself over to police to be reunited with her worried owner.
