The icon and legend staged a comeback 'from the dead' earlier this year, with surprise scenes revealing that she'd been living in witness protection for a quarter of a century after turning informant on her cellmate in the nineties. With Jackie Ford, the criminal she was in hiding from, having died, the time had come for Cindy to return to Walford, with scenes last week seeing her set foot in London for the first time in decades. Having missed out on the opportunity to visit daughter Lucy's (Hetti Bywater) grave when she died nine years ago, she wasted little time in doing so on Monday when Peter (Thomas Law) suggested that it might be nice to pay tribute to his sister. Lucy, as fans will recall, was killed off during EastEnders' 30th anniversary celebrations in 2014 in a shocking whodunit storyline, with the killer being revealed as none other than Bobby Beale. Upon setting her sights on Lucy's grave, Cindy broke down in tears, telling her son that she's often wanted to come visit her daughter, but was unable to do so given that her life was on the line.
