Cincinnati Bengals announce “good plan” for Joe Burrow after injury concerns

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan says the team has a plan for quarterback Joe Burrow that will help the star player recover from the calf injury he sustained in practice

The Cincinnati Bengals have explained the plan for Joe Burrow’s return from injury.

Burrow has been sidelined with a calf injury he sustained during training camp on July 27. The quarterback was carted off the field after a play left Burrow on the floor and was subsequently assessed by the Bengals medical team.

Tests revealed that Burrow had suffered a calf strain, with Bengals head coach Zac Taylor initially stating that the QB would be sidelined for several weeks. At that point, there were doubts over whether or not Burrow would recover in time for the opening game of the 2023 NFL regular season.

The Bengals open the season in Week One against AFC North divisional rivals the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 10. It remains to be seen whether or not Burrow will have recovered in time to take to the field for that game.
