NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
Twenty years ago we were introduced to hit zombie film 28 Days Later and its new breed of rabid, blood-spitting ghouls.
The film, directed by Danny Boyle, sees Jim (Cillian Murphy) wake up from a coma, though the world is not as he remembers it as he stumbles around a hauntingly-desolate London.
He soon realises that the world has succumbed to a virus that turns humans into manic, flesh-eating zombies – a far cry from the shuffling undead audiences were used to seeing from the likes of Night Of The Living Dead.
Promised a cure by the military, he teams up with lone wanderer, Selena (Naomie Harris), and father and daughter Frank (Brendan Gleeson) and Hannah (Megan Burns) to make their way to safety.
