A chippy that serves champagne pickled quail eggs has been shortlisted as one of the best fish and chip shops in the UK.
The National Fish and Chip Awards has announced the top 10 semi-finalists for its Restaurant of the Year, which rates businesses based upon their customer service, environmental standards and sustainability.
Chippies up and down the nation were shortlisted in the category, with restaurants in Norfolk, Lancashire, Cornwall, Merseyside, Belfast and Glastonbury managing to nab a top spot.
Among those selected includes the Malt and Anchor in Cirencester, which offers a portion of cod and chips with a bottle of Pontebello Prosecco for £40, reports Gloucestershire Live.
