Chelsea ‘reach agreement with Juventus’ as transfer set to accelerate after Nkunku injury

Chelsea and Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement over the valuation of Romelu Lukaku. The Blues could now speed up a deal that would see Dusan Vlahovic head in the opposite direction following the news of Christopher Nkunku’s knee injury. Nkunku will have to wait for his Chelsea debut after undergoing surgery just days before the start of the new season. The £52million star suffered an injury during the club’s final pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund at the weekend. Chelsea confirmed on Tuesday that he is set for an extended period on the sidelines. The news comes as a big blow to Mauricio Pochettino, with the Frenchman a big part of his plans for this campaign. The Stamford Bridge club had already been linked with a move for Juve star Vlahovic. However, a deal could now be pushed through due to the absence of Nkunku.
