Pictures had already emerged of the England international hugging his new colleagues, including a warm embrace with Lisandro Martinez. But video footage of Mount on Manchester United’s YouTube channel with his father, Tony, could leave some Chelsea fans with a stinging feeling. In one clip that has gone viral on social media, Mount is spotted taking in the enormous dressing room at the Theatre of Dreams with his dad. Their conversation is picked up in the footage while they pose for photos, with Mount Snr telling his son: “Mason, this dressing room man. Home mate, home. “Who would have thought, when I brought you up here as a little boy?” And the ex-Chelsea man, smiling, replied: “I know, special isn’t it?” Mount made his first visit to the 74,000-capacity stadium with his father when he was a boy and was in the crowd for Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic free-kick against Portsmouth back in 2008. And it seems that experience has stuck with both men as they toasted to a new chapter in his career.
