In Tuesday's talks over Caicedo, Chelsea and Brighton also discussed Seagulls goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. Chelsea have launched an opening bid for the Spaniard but Brighton are yet to officially respond to their offer despite already landing a replacement for him, bringing in Bart Verbruggen. The Blues are looking to secure a new 'keeper after the departure of Edouard Mendy to provide competition for No.1 Kepa Arrizabalaga and Sanchez is thought to have agreed to join Chelsea. Sanchez is no longer wanted by the Seagulls having lost his place to Jason Steele in March.
