Chelsea finally get shirt sponsor after agreeing lucrative £40m deal with US company

Chelsea have landed a shirt sponsor in a deal worth £40m-per-season with American company Infinite Athlete having played throughout pre-season without a name or logo on their kit

Chelsea have agreed a new shirt sponsorship deal with American technology giants Infinite Athlete worth at least £40m per season.

The Blues had desperately been seeking a brand to go on the front of their shirt with the new Premier League campaign just days away. Both the club and the American company had wanted to confirm the deal on Tuesday night, but are still awaiting approval.

If they get the sign off then Mauricio Pochettino’s side are set to don the brand’s logo on their kit for their league opener against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. A leak from a pre-season media day swirled on social media and the Daily Mail has been told: “It’s just awaiting Premier League approval.”

The women’s team, led by Emma Hayes, who remain one of the WSL’s dominant forces, are also part of the deal and will sport the brand on their shirts when they play their first pre-season friendly against Roma next month.
