Chelsea are reportedly braced for Tottenham to bid for Conor Gallagher on deadline day. West Ham saw their own approach for the England international turned down earlier this summer, with Mauricio Pochettino unwilling to accept anything below Gallagher’s asking price. Pochettino has already made it clear that he would rather not lose Gallagher at all. The 23-year-old has started all three Premier League games so far this season, although Chelsea now have plenty of options in midfield. The signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia have made sure of that, while new arrival Cole Palmer can also play in the middle of the park if Pochettino fancies moving him in from the wing. Gallagher may therefore be expendable for the right price. According to The Telegraph, Chelsea want no less than £45million to let go of the former Crystal Palace loanee.
