But according to the Guardian, Brighton's hopes of landing Colwill have taken a hit with Chelsea in advanced negotiations over a new long-term deal. Pochettino is unwilling to lose Colwill and feels the youngster will become one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League. The relationship between Chelsea and Brighton is thought to be tense which may impact any possible deals between the clubs. Brighton finished above Chelsea last season after a remarkable campaign saw them finish sixth in the Premier League as they qualified for the Europa League.
