Channel 4 took to Twitter to issue an apology to its viewers and reveal the glitch was due to a 'technical issue'. A tweet from the broadcaster read: "We're aware of technical difficulties which means tonight's News, Gogglebox & The Last Leg won't be available on our on-demand streaming service. Sorry about that but rest assured we're working hard to fix it and normal service should resume by tomorrow." Channel 4 added in a further tweet: "Those shows should still be available on normal live TV though, so you don't have to miss them". However, viewers revealed they were facing issues watching other shows, too. One tweeted: "The push towards streaming - last night I tried and failed to watch stuff on ITV and 4od (or whatever it's called). Tonight I'm trying to watch cricket highlights on iPlayer and every 20 secs it's the ball of doom. Not happy."
