Five-time Champions League winner Casemiro swpped Real Madrid for Manchester United after talks with Erik ten Hag in the summer and has been hugely impressed by the Dutchman
Casemiro claims Erik ten Hag’s obsession with winning sets him apart from the world’s other top coaches.
Casemiro quit Real Madrid in the summer to join Manchester United and says Ten Hag’s desire to rekindle the Reds’ glory days was a big factor in his decision. The Brazil midfielder is hungry for more trophies, despite winning five Champions Leagues with Real, and says Ten Hag shares his vision.
Casemiro has worked with some of the game’s great coaches, like Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane, and says Ten Hag stands out because of his determination to succeed.
“I believe that knowing and being in football for quite a while, despite the fact I’m only 30, his obsession for winning is what has surprised me the most,” he said. “He’s got many strengths. We all know it’s a process and we’re growing together and we can all see he wants to win.
