 Carlo Ancelotti hopes the trio of Xabi Alonso, Alvaro Arbeloa and Raul Gonzalez will coach the Real Madrid first team in the future, as he prepares to leave the club at the end of the season. The veteran Italian manager is set to leave when his contract expires next summer, taking on the Brazil job as his epic career takes another turn. That means that one of the biggest jobs in world football is up for grabs and there have been a number of names linked with it, including Alonso. The 41-year-old is in his first job in management at Bayer Leverkusen but has been extremely impressive since taking over the German side last year. Radio MARCA report that Alonso is currently Real Madrid's preferred candidate to replace Ancelotti, having also played 236 games for the club from 2009-14. The former Liverpool midfielder also has the backing of the current manager, but so do Arbeloa and Raul who are both currently working with the Spanish giants. Legendary striker Raul is in charge of Real Madrid Castilla, while former Liverpool full-back Arbeloa is coaching the Under-19 team. All former Real Madrid players, Ancelotti knows they all want to coach the club, and hopes they all get their wish once he has gone. 'I had Xabi Alonso as a player. He has a high-level knowledge of football,' said Ancelotti. 'He's doing very well with Bayer Leverkusen. He has that reading [of the game], that capacity. 'I think one day — for Raul [Gonzalez], for [Alvaro] Arbeloa, for Xabi Alonso — their biggest wish is to coach Real Madrid and I want that for them because I know them all, I love them all.
