More than a third of Brits have booked, or plan to book, a holiday this winter – with half of those wanting somewhere sunny
The Canary Islands, Spain, and Italy top the list of destinations that Brits are most likely to escape to for a winter holiday, research has found.
A poll of 2,000 adults found that more than a third have booked, or are planning to book, a getaway this winter â with the Caribbean and Dubai among other popular destinations.
But while half are seeking the sun, this is less important for three in ten â as a fifth are hoping for a ski adventure in somewhere like the French Alps.
The chance to take part in winter sports like skiing and snowboarding â and get a tan â also appear on the list of reasons why people love a winter getaway.
