After some knowing winks from Activision, the new entry has been formally revealed with a teaser trailer and a November 10 launch date (another detail that was leaked), but fans are still very excited to see it become official. The trailer doesn't reveal an awful lot but it's accompanied by the rather generic tagline of, 'The ultimate threat awaits.' It also looks like Modern Warfare 3 will be ditching the subseries' traditional green motif for a blood red one, as the trailer teases shots of returning characters Captain Price and John 'Soap' McTavish… at least we think it's Soap; we honestly can't tell. There's some narration about not leaving your enemies buried alive, suggesting an old foe is returning that the main cast failed to properly deal with last time, but there's nothing concrete to extrapolate about Modern Warfare 3's plot. The use of red has some fans hoping that the Zombies mode will be featured from launch, which was rumoured to be the case earlier this year. Despite the lack of info, there's plenty of excitement to be found online. Although there's unsurprisingly just as much scepticism, as some fans have grown dissatisfied with Call Of Duty as of late – as evidenced by its dwindling player numbers. No release platforms nor dates for the inevitable beta session have been shared yet, but you can expect Activision to reveal more details in the coming weeks.
