Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 release date confirmed – and first teaser trailer drops

The existence of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has finally been confirmed by Activision, with the game’s release date being revealed too

Activision has confirmed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 release date, with a short teaser trailer showcasing the game’s official logo.

We’ve known for a while now that Call of Duty 2023 was very likely going to be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, with the name and logo being leaked last month. And following the launch of Warzone Season 5, which will include a live event that will also serve as the new game’s official reveal, Activision has now confirmed via a short teaser trailer on Twitter that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released on Friday, November 10.

The publisher’s Twitter account posted a short teaser video that showcases the game’s new artwork, which matches that of the leak, plus the voices of notable characters including Captain Price, one of the main protagonists from Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2, and seemingly the game’s antagonist, famous Call of Duty villain Vladimir Makarov.

The worst-kept secret in gaming is finally out, with Modern Warfare 3 now confirmed as being the 2023 Call of Duty title. Whilst I’m not sure about even more Modern Warfare, I’m still hopeful that this new release can reinvigorate the franchise.
