One angry Dad has since stocked up on three-months' worth of the mini packs for his autistic son. He told The Sun: 'That's the only chocolate he will eat, so I buy it in bulk. 'I started to notice that I was struggling to find it via online retailers. I got in touch with Cadbury just to see if it was a temporary outage, as I was nervous it was going to be discontinued, and it was. 'I understand most people just like the Giant Buttons, and most shoppers might not notice, but it is literally one of the oldest chocolate products that's a non-bar that Britain has ever had. 'It feels like the manufacturer might have anticipated a public outcry as they haven't made any posts about it at all. "I've been speaking to other parents and people with smaller kids are gutted because the larger size packs aren't appropriate for larger tots.' A Cadbury spokesperson told the Dad: 'We're sorry to advise that this product has been discontinued. "Consumer tastes and trends do change over the years and our dedicated Research & Development Teams are always working hard to delight our consumers with a varied range with seasonal favourites and new exciting ideas.' Last year, Mondelez - formerly Kraft - which bought Cadbury in 2010 launched Dairy Milk Mega Buttons.
