Businessman jailed over bomb plot to terrify lawyers helping case against him

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

A businessman suspected of being involved in a money laundering ring has been jailed for targeting police lawyers with fake bombs.

Jonathan Nuttall, 50, used his personal chauffeur to recruit a former marine, Michael Broddle to spy on two lawyers for the National Crime Agency (NCA), Andrew Sutcliffe KC and Anne Jeavons.

He orchestrated a plot in which Broddle planted devices in London’s legal district with Mr Sutcliffe’s name marked on them in 2021, a court heard.

One was left by a bench, and the other outside the offices where Mr Sutcliffe and Ms Jeavons work.
