His doctors advised him to postpone currently scheduled shows throughout the month of September, beginning with Thursday's concert in Syracuse, New York. It's unclear if the remaining concerts, scheduled throughout November and December, will be performed as planned. Springsteen commented: "Over here on E Street, we're heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. "First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. "We'll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. "We've been having a blast at our U.S. shows and we're looking forward to more great times. We'll be back soon." Springsteen began his nationwide tour earlier this year and recently returned from a European stadium tour. He canceled shows on August 16 and 18 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia due to an illness. Those dates have been rescheduled for 2024. In March, he also rescheduled another show after falling ill. It's unclear if the March and August illnesses are related to the peptic ulcer disease symptoms he's currently being treated for.
