 You may have noticed an odd prickly sensation on your skin if you were walking around outside earlier today. It's popularly known as 'summer heat', and it's been a while since most people in the UK have felt anything like it. Instead, things have been exceedingly drab and wet for the last little while – and parts of Wales and the north of England had to get through a yellow rain warning as recently as yesterday. But the Met Office has suggested the country may have turned a corner with the weather, and the sun may just be sticking around for a while. From tomorrow, the meteorological agency says, high pressure will start to build, 'bringing a southerly airflow across the UK'. That means much of the south will get to enjoy temperatures in the mid-twenties for the next couple of days, before things push up further to the high twenties on Friday and Saturday. There's even a chance the odd 30°C could be recorded here and there, so it might be an idea to grab some extra charcoal for the barbecue while there's still some left in the shops. You may have a limited time to use it at the weekend though – there's a risk that some thunderstorms may accompany the heat as Friday turns into Saturday. 'Whilst some southern areas are already likely to reach the mid 20s by Wednesday, it's not until Thursday that the warmer weather will become more widespread, with parts of Scotland also reaching the low 20s.' He continued: 'We are likely to see the warmest weather on Friday and Saturday, with low to mid 20s widely and a peak of 29C most probable in the southeast; at this stage the odd 30 Celsius here){kind=link}
