Airport Dads have been gently teased for their almost SAS like manner when moving through a terminal, collecting the family’s passports and organising the troops ready for take-off
A hilarious new viral trend pokes fun at the common British phenomenon of the ‘Airport Dad’.
It’s a character that will be familiar to anyone who has embarked on a family holiday overseas.
He’s the one who sets the alarm for the crack of dawn, hauling everyone up and out of the house in order to arrive a good five hours before scheduled take-off.
Once at the airport he checks, double checks and then triple checks that everyone has their passports, before insisting on keeping hold of them himself in a special passport wallet.
