The 27-year-old suffered fatal injuries in the accident near Lake Garda on Friday
A British woman has died after a cycling accident while on holiday in Italy, according to local news reports.
The 27-year-old, who has not been named, suffered fatal injuries when she was thrown from her bike as she descended a steep trail near Lake Garda, Il Giorno reported.
Despite wearing a helmet, the impact of her fall was said to be “very violent” and she died instantly at approximately 10am on Friday.
The woman is thought to have hit her head on a stretch of track along the Via Mezzane, connecting Navazzo di Gargano in Gaino.
