Britain’s most popular holiday home

BRITIAN’S most popular holiday home is already booked for at least the next two years, meaning anyone hoping to stay there is in for a long wait.

Clavell Tower in Wareham, Dorset is a four storey circular tower that stands high on the cliff overlooking Kimmeridge Bay on the south coast.

It was built in 1830 and previously housed famous writers including PD James and Thomas Hardy.

The tower is managed by the Landmark Trust, a charity that saves historic buildings “in danger of being lost forever”.

They restore the buildings before offering them a new future by making them available for self-catering holidays.
